Due to constant water spray and mist from the Mist Tec unit it is designed to extinguish live sparks and embers during solid fuel and charcoal cooking applications, as well as to reduce fire risk and temperatures in commercial kitchen exhaust systems.
SLOPED INLET AND OUTLET DUCTWORK CONNECTION
Water residues falls back into the unit due to slopedduct inlet and outlet transitions.
Duct transitions connections can either be circle or square.
CONSTANT WATER SPRAY AND MIST & STAINLESS STEEL BAFFLE FILTER
Integration of spray nozzles for constant water spray and mist and located inside a stainless steel water baffle filter that retains water.
The continuous water sprayand mist also keeps the ductwork temperature cool.
UL Approved baffle is to resist flame penetration without disturbing air movement.
STAINLESS STEEL PERFORATED PRE - FILTER & AFTER FILTER
To capture largegrease, soot, and ashes, there are stainless steel perforated pre and after filters that are accessible through a removable side access panel on the inlet and outlet sides.
These filters also get a water spray and mist to wash and clear away any soot and embers.

The enforcement of product electrical safety falls with each Australian and New Zealand state territories which has enacted electrical safety legislation.
The above compliance marks are identified on the pump which indicates electrical safety compliance.
TOP AND SIDE SERVICE ACCESS PANEL
Top and side access panels are removable for filter maintenance. If the top is obstructed, a side access panel is provided.

For maintenance purposes, a spray hose is attached to the side of the Mist Tec unit.

ENGINEERED SOLUTION
The Mist Tec unit is considered as an engineered solution or alternative solution as per AS 1668 which allows the cooking process to be exhausted back into the common ductwork.
